Bought this to try it out first off i would like to say it will not make you some unbelievable sharp shooter. Now knowing this why do i rate the product 4 stars. First its a simple product to use they have a youtube video along with the instructions being in the box for the product. Takes like 20 seconds to put on and you are off shooting. Second it actually does help you remember to keep your off hand from the ball practiced with it for 2 weeks and i had a small improvement. really used this a lot to correct my free throws went from around 50% to 70% in 2 weeks now this is with me shooting over 100 shots a day so results may vary. Third does not take up to much space its pretty small in my opinion and light so i just throw it in my gym bag and leave it there. Now for the negative can only think of one it is annoying as hell for long sessions of shooting the ball. I would say using it for about 30 minutes or less is ok but if you go longer that that it starts to really bother you. I dont know if that is just for me but when i used it for long periods of time my arm started to get sore and i would start to pay attention to the sore arm more than practicing so i was forced to take it off when i wanted to shoot long periods of time. Overall its a decent product accomplished its job i notice my off-hand doesnt really interfere with my shooting hand anymore but i use this product on a daily basis. Now did it make me a dead eye no it did not do not buy this thinking u will start splashing everything all it does is keep your off hand from messing with the ball it will help you shoot but wont help you make the shot. In the end if you have trouble with your off hand and you dont practice long hours of shooting get this product it really does help you keep your off hand of the ball. Just know thats all it doesMy 12 year old son is a pretty high level player. Been traveling for several years and is actually one of his teams' better shooters. But I've always been bugged by the weird side spin on his shot. And he's also prone to hot and cold streaks. Having read about the strap I thought it would be helpful for him.First of all, the strap does what it is supposed to do; prevents off hand from interfering with the shot. In our practice sessions it has helped his shot from the free throw line in. Took one session to get used to but no big deal. That said, there was a downside. My son is small for his age (about 5'1") and not especially strong. Using the strap has reduced his effective range by about five feet. Makes sense since the strap basically forces one hand shooting. Over the long run I'm thinking it would be helpful for him. But in the short run, I'm afraid it will take away too much range which would hurt him in games because of his size and lack of strength. So I will wait a year or two to bring it back for him. Hopefully by then he'll be strong enough to shoot properly with range. I certainly see the value and believe it will be effective when the time comes.I got this for my 9 year old daughter, initially she had good form last year then her shot developed into a two handed pass shot out of bad habit. That's what prompted me to get this. It does really work and it physically forces your off hand out of the shot and to follow through. At first it really hurt her arm, because she was still fighting to throw up the shot with both hands, I had to cut a sock and put up on her arm. After a while she got used to it, whether by the restraint or discomfort. I gave it a four because we just started using it, maybe in a a couple months I'll update to see if it shapes up her form without it. On the package it says everyday for at least 30 minutes to see results in two weeks, we won't use it that often, no need for us to rush to two weeks or die. Comes with some basketball goggles too.Product came as expected from Amazon I’ll provide an update after 2 weeks of use to see if it really corrects shooting form: which is what the video suggests. I think this will work; my daughter used this last year but I lost it which is why I’m ordering a new Strap. She is slipping back into bad habits so I’ll let everyone knowIf you're buying this for a child younger than 9 or 10, I wouldn't recommend it. It will fit a younger child (it fits my 7-year-old), but its effectiveness is limited. Often their mechanics are so far off that they end up hurting their arm trying to fight the strap. Obviously, you know your child best, but my experience is that it's not effective for someone that young.A much better solution is having them shoot one handed shots, on a lowered rim, from close locations on the court using a 28.5 or, even better, a 27.5 ball. The smaller ball will help them gain more control and get a better feel. With that long introduction, I fully recommend it for older kids up to adults! It is remarkable at correcting mechanics and also easy to use. I've seen it help 12-year-olds quite a bit. I even used it for a few weeks and found my rec ball results improved. There are few things available for this low of cost which will yield this strong of results. At first son was annoyed with this but after 10 min he got used to it. Within a week of practicing with it, he slowly started shooting without it and was shooting correctly !I bought this for my kids to use during the off season. The product is simplistic and does a fair job of keeping your off hand in the proper form when shooting. I find this product works best when trying to reinforce good form like shooting free throws.Of course I had to use and test it to make sure it works before I handed it off to the kids, and I was impressed. The only negative I really have is that the strap slipped a little for me during prolonged use. It would be nice to have a mechanism that locks in place and does not allow the strap to loosen. This product worked well for my 13 year old.Great product!Todo muy bienThis strap is great for me, at 5'7", but could not fit a player I coach who is 6'1".
